Program Objectives
To enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to weld material using different methods, acetylene cutting, preparation techniques and tasks in a specialized area of the welding field.These include reading and understanding plans, calculating and estimating and structural assembly.
Course Content
You will learn how to cut metals using Oxyacetylene equipment, how to arc weld using FCAW, SMAW, CTAW and GMAW processes. You will also learn metallurgical principles, blue prints, welding symbols, how to read and understand drawings and plans, concepts in calculation and estimation and industrial assembly.
