This program requires individuals who like to work with textures, colours, forms and who like to manipulate hair, instruments, scissors, and so on. There are many opportunities for graduates, including working in a salon and owning salon. You can also work in research, testing, distributing and selling of new products.

Program Objectives
To enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to carry out routine tasks in hairdressing such as cutting, setting, styling and streaking hair, and giving a permanent wave; to carry out other trade-related tasks such as trimming or shaving a beard, sideburns and a moustache; and to carry out tasks involved in reception and sales.
Course Content
You will learn to apply hygiene, health and safety rules and measures related to the use of caustic products; to analyse the scalp and hair; to advise the client on choosing a hairstyle suited to his or her personality; to apply concepts of colour to hair colouring; as well as client reception.
